Home Alone 14″H x 10″W x 12″L
Who would have thought that a salamander no bigger than 6 inches in length could save a house? Due to possible extinction, the Cox Knob salamander managed to save several homes from the proposed pipeline in the Shenandoah Mountain border between Augusta and Highland county of Virginia. The imagery on this unarguably handsome ceramic salamander depicts the undulating pasture-land of Highland county while illuminating the ironic situation. Artistic license was used to enhance the real-life amphibian’s features.
